Use chroma key / green screen

This interview was shot against an imperfect green wall. Pull a chroma key so the speaker is cleanly isolated from 00:00:02 to 00:01:20. Use soft-edge spill suppression, adjust hue tolerance until the hair and glasses are intact, and add a slight inner edge feather of 3 pixels. Export a short clip showing the keyed footage over a neutral gray for approval.

Before I deliver the keyed file to the motion designer, make it approval-ready: surface the frames where green spill affects hair or reflective glasses, show the current key settings and their impact on edges, propose one darker and one lighter background to test contrast, and flag any frames where the camera auto-exposure changes will break the key.

I keyed the interview but at 00:00:36 the glasses have a green fringe and the producer will push back. I don’t know if lowering tolerance will clip the jacket or if spill suppression will desaturate skin. Which is the likeliest first adjustment that preserves jacket detail and tones down the fringe, and how do I verify it across the whole clip?

Across clips, keys break on glasses and jewelry and cost us hours in fixes. Where are we losing credibility — camera setup, lighting, or sloppy key presets — and what single change to on-set or ingest standards would prevent most key problems downstream?
