Edit a single event occurrence

Change only next Tuesday’s occurrence of the Product Team Sync: move it from 9am to 11am, keep the rest of the series unchanged, update the location to Conference Room A for that date, add ‘Client prep first half’ to the description, and send an update to all attendees noting this is a one‑time change.

Before I modify the one occurrence next Tuesday, surface anything that makes a reviewer hesitate: identify attendees who have recurring conflicts that day, show if any attendee previously declined only that date, confirm whether video link needs changing for just that session, and draft the one‑time update message explaining reason and who to contact for follow‑ups.

I edited next Tuesday’s Product Team Sync for a one‑off time change and I’m not sure I applied it to only that occurrence. I can’t tell if attendees will get notified about a series change. How can I confirm I edited only one occurrence, and if I did change the whole series, what’s the quickest way to revert to a single‑occurrence change without sending chaos to the team?

I keep unintentionally editing entire recurring series when I only mean to change one occurrence, which causes confusion and extra corrections. What small habit, checklist item, or default setting should I adopt so single‑occurrence edits don’t become series edits?
