Add certifications

Add the new certification to my profile: 'Certified Cloud Practitioner, Cloud Institute, issued May 2024, credential ID 12345-ABC'. Put it under Certifications, include the issuer and issue date exactly, and make sure the credential ID is visible to recruiters. Save and show me the certification entry before publishing.

Before I add a certification to my profile, make it clear to hiring managers which skills it validates. Move the certification title, issuer, and issue date to the top, add one short bullet beneath it with the competency (for example: 'Validates cloud fundamentals: IAM, compute, storage'), and flag any certifications that are expired or unverifiable so I can decide whether to keep them.

I just added a Certified Cloud Practitioner and included the issuer verification link, but when I test it the certificate page returns an error. The hiring manager, Sonia, might check it during screening and I don’t want to lose credibility. I can either remove the link, mark the cert as pending, or contact the issuer. Which action preserves trust while buying time to resolve verification?

Over the past year my profile has accumulated ten certifications with mixed formats, missing IDs, and a couple that are expired. Recruiters occasionally ask for proof and I end up chasing validation. What habit and simple record-keeping system should I adopt so every new certification is entered consistently, verifiable links are stored, and expired ones are archived automatically?
