Validate data entry rules

I need to check the rules the team uses when entering transactions into the ledger sheet. Validate that account codes are limited to eight characters, dates are in YYYY-MM-DD, amounts are numeric with two decimals, and that the Status column only accepts Open, Closed, or Pending. Run through January through June and flag any rows that break these rules, then send me a short list of the offending rows with exact cell addresses so I can ask Maria to fix them by Tuesday.

Before I hand this workbook to Finance for month-end, make the data-entry rules obvious and hard to break: put the allowed account-code format and allowed Status values at the top of the sheet, show a summary count of rule violations, highlight the first offending cell in each row, and add a one-line note explaining how to correct the most common error (wrong date format). Produce a version-saved copy named Ledger_Jan-Jun_forFinance.

I imported the CSV and now rows from March show amounts left-aligned and formulas summing to zero. I am afraid reporting will understate revenue and I cannot tell whether these are thousands of rows or a small import problem. Diagnose the likely cause and tell me the fastest safe fix that keeps original data auditable so I can correct it before Friday close.

Every month I spend hours chasing down the same validation issues: wrong date formats, stray spaces in account codes, and Status spelled multiple ways. I want to stop firefighting. Recommend one durable change to the sheet and one operational habit for the team that reduces these errors and the rework by at least half.
