Add comments and reply to comments

I need comments and replies organized before the internal review tomorrow. Add comments where clauses are ambiguous, ask one-line questions for the drafter where intent is unclear, and reply to existing comments that have been addressed. Produce a summary of unresolved comments and the names responsible for final decisions.

Before I circulate this to the client, make the comment thread easy to act on: convert long comment chains into a single summarized comment with the proposed change, tag the decision owner by name, and sort comments into must-fix, consider, and optional. Flag any comment that will change pricing or delivery dates.

A partner wrote 'fix it' in reply to a comment about scope but gave no guidance. The drafter looks to me to interpret. I'm worried about making a substantive change without partner sign-off but leaving it vague delays the client. What's the safest narrow interpretation to apply now, and how should I record the change so the partner can reverse it easily if they meant something else?

I keep losing time because comment threads extend over weeks and the decision trail vanishes, causing rework. Propose a lightweight habit that forces closure: how to label comments, assign owners, set response deadlines, and what to archive once a matter is resolved so future documents don't reopen the same debate.
