Prepare documents detailing the assembly process and other technical specifications

I have the assembly instructions and technical spec for the irrigation control panel. Send the completed document to Engineering Drafting, attention to Hannah Cho, then to Maintenance Supervisor Mark Daniels for sign-off, in that order, and ask for signatures by Friday. Verify the exploded diagram is on page 4, wire colour codes match the terminal table, and the bill of materials includes part numbers before sending.

Before I share this assembly pack with the installers, make it easy to build: put a one-page quick-build checklist at the front with the three critical dimensions and torque values, make the wiring colour-to-terminal mapping visually prominent, convert the bill of materials into an ordered pick list, and flag any non-standard parts that would make a fitter stop and call.

An installer on site stopped because the wiring diagram labels don’t match the physical terminal numbers. I suspect the drawing revision number didn’t update or the terminal table was copied from a different panel. I can’t tell the installers to improvise. What probable cause should I check first and what immediate instruction should I give the installer and Mark to keep the job safe and moving?

We repeatedly get field reports that assembly drawings, parts lists and wiring tables don’t line up, causing downtime and rework. That damages our installers’ trust and slows deployment. Which documentation habit or handoff check would eliminate most of these mismatches and restore confidence within two months?
