Share a link to a message

I need to send the design decision to the remote PM and the client. Share a direct link to my key message in the #designs channel so Anika and the client reviewer can jump straight to the comment thread. Add a short note that the link points to the message with the final diagram and list the approval step I need from each person.

Before I share a message link with procurement and the client, make it easy to approve: link directly to the exact message, add a one-sentence summary of why it matters, call out the single thing they need to confirm, and tell them how to signal approval (reply, emoji, or e-sign). Flag any language that would make a reviewer hesitate to click or approve.

I posted the design decision link in the channel and the client answered privately on a different thread, so their approval isn’t recorded where the team will see it. I’m afraid the sign-off won’t be captured and that rework will happen. Should I ask them to repost, copy their response into the original thread, or forward it myself? Recommend the best immediate fix and the exact copy to send to the client.

We keep losing track of approvals because people reply in private DMs or separate threads. I think our expectations for where approvals live are unclear. What rule should I enforce so approvals are always findable, and how do I communicate that rule to clients and the team so it sticks?
