Batch insert pages into multiple PDFs
Place all target PDF files into a single folder for easier batch processing.
Open Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Go to File > Create > Action Wizard to open the Action Wizard tool.
Click New Action to start creating a custom batch process.
In the Choose Tools to Add panel, find and add the Insert Pages action to your workflow.
Configure the Insert Pages step: select the PDF file(s) you want to insert (e.g., a cover sheet or other standard insert) and specify whether to insert before, after, or at a specific page in each target PDF.
CautionIf you want to insert different pages into different PDFs, you must create separate actions for each combination.
Add an Open files step at the beginning if you want the action to prompt for files each run, or set the folder as the input if you want all PDFs in the folder processed automatically.
Add a Save or Save As step to specify where the modified PDFs should be saved (overwrite or new folder).
Best practiceSaving to a new folder preserves your originals and makes it easier to review batch results.
Click Save to finish creating the action, then run the action by selecting it from the Action Wizard list and following the prompts.
The Action Wizard lets you automate inserting pages into multiple PDFs at once, saving time on repetitive tasks.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
To batch insert pages into several PDFs in Adobe Acrobat, you usually use the 'Organize Pages' tool along with an action or script. This lets you add the same page(s) to many PDFs at once, saving time compared to doing it one by one.
Batch insert means adding the same page or set of pages into many PDF files all at once, instead of repeating the same steps for each file separately.
You should use batch insert when you need to add the same information, like a cover, disclaimer, or announcement, to many PDF documents quickly and consistently.
Yes, Adobe Acrobat lets you pick where to insert the new pages, such as at the start, end, or a specific spot in each PDF, depending on your needs.
Batch inserting saves a lot of time and reduces mistakes because you only set up the process once, and the software handles all the files for you in one go.
