You may not be able to save your filled-in answers because the person who made the form did not allow saving filled data in Acrobat Reader. This is called Reader-Extended permissions. If the form is not set up this way, you can fill it, but saving your answers will not work. To avoid losing your work, test saving with a short answer first.

  • Check if the form is flat (no boxes to click).
  • Use Fill & Sign to place text anywhere on the page.
  • Make sure the fields are not set to Read Only.

Fill & Sign is useful because it lets you add answers to any PDF form, even if the form was not made to be filled out on a computer. You can type anywhere you need, so you do not have to print the form and write by hand.
