Insert pages and reduce file size automatically
Open your PDF file in Adobe Acrobat.
Go to the Tools pane and select Organize Pages.
Click Insert and choose the source of the pages you want to add (e.g., From File).
Browse to select the file(s) to insert, then click Open.
In the dialog, specify where to insert the new pages and confirm.
After the pages are inserted, go to the File menu and select Save as Other > Reduced Size PDF.
CautionReducing file size may lower image and font quality.
Choose the compatibility version if prompted, then click OK to save the optimized PDF.
After inserting pages, always use the Reduce File Size feature to ensure your PDF remains manageable for sharing or storage.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
In Adobe Acrobat, you can insert pages by opening your PDF, clicking on 'Organize Pages', and then choosing 'Insert'. You can add a blank page or another file. This helps you combine documents or add new content easily.
Reducing file size in Adobe Acrobat means making your PDF smaller so it takes up less space. This is useful for emailing or uploading, and Acrobat does it by compressing images and removing extra data.
It's usually best to insert all the pages you need first, then reduce the file size. This way, the whole document is compressed at once, making it as small as possible for sharing or storage.
Inserting pages does not change the quality of your existing PDF. However, if you reduce the file size after inserting, some images or graphics might look less sharp, depending on the settings you use.
Adobe Acrobat often gives you more control over quality and security when reducing file size compared to many online tools. It is safer for private documents and usually keeps your formatting better.
