| Signing Order | When to Use | Process |
|---|---|---|
| SEQUENTIAL | For approvals that must happen step-by-step (e.g., manager then director). | Each signer gets the document only after the previous signer has finished. |
| PARALLEL | When multiple people can sign at the same time and order doesn't matter. | All signers receive the document at once and can sign independently. |
Adding authentication, like an SMS code or email code, is important for high-value or sensitive agreements. It adds an extra layer of security. This makes sure that only the intended person can access and sign the document, proving their identity more strongly than just an email address alone.
The Acrobat Sign API is a tool for developers to connect other systems with Acrobat Sign. It allows you to automate tasks like sending documents for e-signature, managing agreements, and tracking their status. For approvals, you can set up your internal systems to automatically send contracts or forms for signature without manual steps, speeding up routine processes and reducing bottlenecks.
