Convert the market intelligence PDFs into Excel and extract price tables so I can analyze total cost across suppliers …
Open Adobe Acrobat.
Go to File > Combine Files.
Click Add Files and select the PDF files you want to merge.
Arrange the files in your desired order by dragging and dropping them within the list.
Click Combine to merge the selected files into a single PDF document.
Save the new combined PDF to your preferred location.
You can preview and reorder files before combining to ensure the final PDF is in the correct sequence.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
Preserve Bookmarks means that each file you add will get its own bookmark in the new PDF. This is useful because it lets you quickly jump to each file or section inside the large combined PDF, making it easier to find what you need.
The order matters because Acrobat puts the files in the new PDF from top to bottom, just like you arrange them. If you want the files to appear in a certain sequence, you must drag and drop them into that order before you combine. This helps keep your document organized and makes sense to people reading it.
| Combining PDFs | Compressing PDFs |
|---|---|
| Joins many files into one PDF | Makes the PDF file size smaller |
| Keeps all pages from each file | May reduce image or text quality |
| Order and bookmarks matter | No change to order or bookmarks |
