A stamp is like a visual mark or image placed on a document; it's an annotation. It does not offer any security or proof of authenticity. A digital signature, however, is a secure electronic mark that uses cryptography to prove the document's origin and that it has not been changed since it was signed. Use stamps for visual labeling and digital signatures for legal or official proof.
You would use a dynamic stamp to save time and ensure accuracy. Dynamic stamps automatically fill in details like your name, the date, and the time. This information comes from your Acrobat Identity preferences. This is useful for official documents where consistent and correct date/time marking is important, without typing it each time.
For marking many documents, the fastest way is to use a standard 'APPROVED' stamp or a custom dynamic stamp. Once you have selected the stamp from 'All tools > Add a stamp', you can quickly click on each document page to place it. If you create a custom dynamic stamp, it can automatically add details like the date of approval, making the process even more efficient for high-volume tasks.
