You can track responses and manage distributed forms directly from the Prepare Form tool's right pane.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
The 'filename_responses' Portfolio is a special file Acrobat creates automatically when you distribute a form. It acts like a container. All the answers you get from people filling out your form are stored inside this one Portfolio. This helps keep all your form data organized and easy to find in one place.
You can use the Forms Tracker in Adobe Acrobat. This tool shows you who has responded and who has not. From the Tracker, you can easily send reminders to the people who still need to fill out the form.
Collecting responses on a server is better for many recipients because it prevents your email inbox from becoming overloaded with hundreds of individual response emails. A server can handle a large volume of data more efficiently and keeps all responses in a centralized location, making it much easier to manage and view them as one spreadsheet later. This scales well for big groups.
