The Forms Tracker is a tool in Adobe Acrobat that helps you manage forms you have sent out. It shows you who has filled in your form and who has not. This is useful because you can easily see the progress of your form collection. You can also send reminders to people who have not yet responded, making sure you get all the answers you need without extra manual work.
If you send a form to many people, it is best to choose to collect the answers on a server, like SharePoint or a network drive. This prevents your email inbox from getting full with many response emails. Acrobat will automatically save all the answers to the server location you choose, keeping your inbox clean and organized.
| Method | How it works | Benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Attach to email | You send the form as a normal email attachment. | Simple for one or two people, but hard to track answers. |
| Distribute Form | Acrobat helps send the form and creates a special file for all answers. | Collects all answers in one place, tracks who responded, and lets you send reminders. |
Acrobat creates a 'filename_responses' Portfolio to automatically collect and organize all the answers from your form in one place. This makes it very easy to manage and review all submissions. Instead of getting many separate emails, all the data is saved in this single, organized file, which you can then view as a spreadsheet.
