You can track responses and manage distributed forms directly from the Prepare Form tool's right pane.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
The Forms Tracker is a tool in Acrobat that helps you manage your sent forms. It shows you who has responded to your form and allows you to send reminders to those who haven't. This is very useful because it helps you make sure you get all the answers you need and keeps you organized without having to check each person manually.
If you send a form to 100 people, you should choose to collect their responses on a server (like SharePoint or a network drive). Collecting in your email inbox would fill it up with too many messages. Using a server is much better for many recipients and keeps your email clean.
Acrobat creates a 'filename_responses' Portfolio to keep all the submitted forms organized in one place. This special file acts like a folder for all the answers you receive. It makes it easy to manage and review all the responses together, rather than having many separate files scattered around.
| Method | Benefit | Drawback |
|---|---|---|
| Email Inbox | Simple for a few recipients. | Can clutter your inbox with many responses; harder to manage. |
| Server (SharePoint/Network) | Scales well for many recipients; keeps email clean; central storage. | May require access to a shared server location. |
