Redaction means hiding or removing private information from a document so others cannot see or recover it. In PDF files, redaction is important because sensitive data like names, numbers, or prices can be hidden under black boxes if not properly removed. True redaction makes sure no one can find this information, even if they try to copy or search the document. This protects privacy and keeps your organization safe from sharing secrets by mistake.
