Acrobat Pro desktop app
| Signing Order | How it Works | When to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Sequential | Signers get the document one after another, in a set order. | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a chain of command. |
| Parallel | All signers get the document at the same time and can sign whenever they want. | When the order of signatures does not matter, and everyone can sign independently. |
It is very important because if a document is attached but has no signature field, the signer cannot complete their task for that specific document. This is a common reason why e-signature requests fail or get sent back, causing delays. Always check all attached files before sending.
The Acrobat Sign API is a way for computer programs to talk to Acrobat Sign automatically. It lets you send documents for e-signature without manually clicking through the website or desktop app. You can use it to create and manage agreements, set up signers, and track the signing process, which is very useful for businesses that send many documents.
