FAQ

about this task

To batch redact, you use Adobe Acrobat’s tools to select what kind of information you want to hide and then apply it to many files at once. This saves time compared to doing it one by one.

Redacting means permanently removing or covering up private information in a PDF, so no one can read it, even if they try to copy or search the text.

Batch redacting helps make sure that no personal or secret details are accidentally shared when you send out lots of documents at once.

Once you save a file after redacting, the hidden information is gone for good. Always keep a backup of the original files in case you need them later.

Batch redacting hides information so it cannot be recovered, while deleting just removes text, which might still be found in other ways or in older versions.
