The 'parent template' is your original document, like a blank form, that you set up once. When you use 'Send in Bulk', Acrobat makes many copies of this template. Each copy sent to an individual signer is called a 'child agreement'. Each child agreement is unique and has its own audit trail, meaning it's tracked separately from all the others.
No, it does not count as one transaction. Even though you send them all at once, each of the 500 documents sent to individual signers is counted as a separate agreement. This means it will count as 500 transactions against your account's agreement limits.
To use the 'Send in Bulk' feature, you need either Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Acrobat Pro for teams. It is not available in the basic version of Acrobat.
