| Signing Order | Description | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| SEQUENTIAL | Signers receive the document one after another in a specific order (e.g., A then B then C). | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a manager's approval before HR. |
| PARALLEL | All signers receive the document at the same time and can sign in any order. | When the order of signatures does not matter, and you want to collect them quickly from many people. |

The Acrobat Sign API is a way for computer programs to talk to Acrobat Sign and automate tasks. For collecting MOUs, you can use the API to automatically send MOUs for e-signature from your own business systems, track their status, and get the signed documents back. This saves time and reduces manual work, especially when you need to send many MOUs regularly.
