| Signing Order | How it Works | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Sequential | People sign one after another in a set order (A then B then C). | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a manager then a director. |
| Parallel | Everyone can sign at the same time, in any order. | When the order doesn't matter, and you want to get all signatures quickly, like a group consent form. |
Adding authentication, like an email or SMS code, makes your e-signature documents more secure. It ensures that only the intended person can open and sign the document. This is especially important for high-value agreements or sensitive information where you need extra proof of identity for the signer.
A signature field is a specific area you place on your document where the recipient must add their electronic signature or initials. It's important because without these fields, the recipient won't know where to sign, and the document might be considered incomplete or invalid. Always ensure every document has the necessary signature fields.
