Setting the signer routing order correctly is important because it controls the workflow. If you choose 'SEQUENTIAL', each person signs one after the other. This is good for approvals that must follow a chain of command. If you choose 'PARALLEL', everyone can sign at the same time. This saves time when the order doesn't matter. The right order makes sure your document is signed correctly and efficiently.
Adding authentication, like an email or SMS code, makes your e-signature request much more secure. This means the signer must enter a special code to open and sign the document. This code is sent to their email or phone. It proves that the person signing is truly who they say they are, not someone else who just got access to their email. This is very important for valuable or secret agreements.
| Feature | SEQUENTIAL Signing | PARALLEL Signing |
|---|---|---|
| Order | Signers receive the document one after another, in a specific order. | All signers receive the document at the same time. |
| Use Case | Best for approvals where one person must sign before the next (e.g., manager, then director). | Best when the order of signatures does not matter (e.g., multiple team members signing off). |
| Speed | Can be slower as it waits for each signer to finish. | Can be faster as multiple people can sign at once. |
