| Signing Order | How it Works | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Sequential | Signers receive the document one after another, in a specific order (A then B then C). | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a chain of command. |
| Parallel | All signers receive the document at the same time and can sign independently. | When the order of signatures does not matter, and you want to get all signatures quickly. |
It is very important to check that every document you attach has a signature field. If a document is missing a field, the signer cannot complete their part. This is the most common reason why people say 'it didn't work'. Always double-check all documents before sending your request to avoid delays.
For important or high-value agreements, you can add extra security by requiring signers to authenticate. This means they will need to verify their identity. You can choose to send them a code via email or SMS (text message). They must enter this code to access and sign the document, making the process more secure and ensuring the correct person is signing.
