| Signing Order | Description | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Sequential | Signers receive the document one after another, in a specific order. | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a chain of command. |
| Parallel | All signers receive the document at the same time and can sign independently. | When the order of signatures does not matter, and you want to get all signatures quickly. |
Adding authentication, such as an email or SMS code, makes sure that only the correct person can sign the document. This adds an extra layer of security, protecting sensitive agreements from unauthorized access and ensuring the signature is legally sound. It helps confirm the signer's identity.
The Acrobat Sign API is a tool that lets computer programs send and manage e-signature requests automatically. It helps integrate e-signing directly into other business systems, like your company's contract management software. This means you can create, send, and track agreements without manually using the Acrobat application, making your workflow faster and more efficient for many documents.
