| Signing Order Type | How it Works | When to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Sequential | Signers receive the document one after another in a specific order (A then B then C). | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a manager's approval. |
| Parallel | All signers receive the document at the same time and can sign in any order. | When the order of signatures does not matter, and you want to get all signatures quickly. |
An e-signature request might not be delivered if the recipient's email address has a typo. Also, if adobesign@adobesign.com is blocked by the recipient's email spam filter, the request will not arrive. Another common reason is forgetting to place a signature field on every document that needs signing.
The Acrobat Sign API is a tool for computer programs to send and manage e-signature requests automatically. It allows businesses to integrate signature processes directly into their own systems, such as their customer relationship management (CRM) software. This means you can create, send, and track agreements without manually using the Acrobat application, saving time and reducing errors for many documents.
