| Signing Order | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| SEQUENTIAL | Signers receive the document one after another, in a specific order (A then B then C). | Approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a manager then a director. |
| PARALLEL | All signers receive the document at the same time and can sign independently. | Situations where the order does not matter, like multiple team members signing off. |
Adding authentication, like an SMS code to a phone, makes sure only the correct person can sign the document. This is very important for agreements that are valuable or sensitive. It adds an extra layer of security, proving the signer's identity and making the e-signature more legally strong. This helps protect both parties in the agreement.
The Acrobat Sign API is a tool for computer programs to send and manage e-signature agreements automatically. Instead of manually clicking in the Acrobat app, your own software can use the API to create agreements, send them to signers, and track their status. This is very useful for businesses that send many agreements, as it saves time and reduces manual work. You define the agreement details and files, and the API handles the sending process, returning an agreement ID for tracking.
