Perform landscape inventories

I finished a walk-through inventory of the north and east beds at St. Agnes and have raw counts of plants, sizes and health notes in my notebook. Send the updated spreadsheet to Maria in horticulture and to James in grounds so they can sign off before I hand it to procurement on Friday; check the counts match last season and that every row has species, quantity, size class and a condition flag.

Before I share this landscape inventory with the planting team, make it easy for them to act on: surface total counts and plants needing replacement at the top, color rows where condition is poor, and add a clear column that explains whether each item needs ordering, pruning, or no action so a foreman can approve without hunting through notes.

I walked the north beds and recorded 23 plants flagged as stressed but I cannot tell if that’s a mapping error, seasonal dieback, or a pest issue. Maria and James will expect a clear next step. What’s the most likely cause given this time of year, and what single test or datum should I add to the sheet before asking for their sign-off?
