Excel Tables organize and manage related data, making it easier to sort, filter, and analyze information for various business functions.

    Select a cell within your data, or select the range of cells you wish to include.

    Choose a style for your table from the gallery.

    In the Create Table dialog box, set or confirm your cell range.

    Mark the checkbox next to My table has headers if your first row contains column names.

Once your data is in a Table, you can easily add it to a Data Model by clicking Table Tools Design > Power Pivot > Add to Data Model.
