Symbols Panel

The Symbols panel in Adobe Illustrator helps you create, organize, and reuse graphic objects efficiently.

    Select Window > Symbols to open the Symbols panel.

    Select the object on your artboard that you want to use as a symbol.

    Best practiceGroup multiple objects before creating a symbol for easier management.

    Drag the selected object directly to the Symbols panel.

    NoteAlternatively, click the New Symbol (+) button in the Symbols panel.

    Enter a descriptive Name for your new symbol in the dialog box.

    To use a symbol, select it in the Symbols panel.
