  4. 4

Review the generated variations in the Properties panel.

  7. 7

Select your preferred variation from the options.

Use the Replace Sky tool to select the dull sky, then apply warm, orange hues with the Adjustment Layers. Fine-tune the color balance to match late-afternoon light, ensuring the change looks natural.

After replacing the sky, wait until the initial color match is set. Then, subtly enhance the warm tones and shadows so the sky reflects the softer, golden light typical of late afternoon, especially around 4-6pm.

Don’t oversaturate the colors. Instead, add a gentle gradient overlay or use a soft brush to blend the edges. Keep the lighting consistent with the ground and property for a believable scene.

Overdoing the color saturation or adding too much high contrast makes it look fake. Keep the tones subtle and match the overall scene lighting.

A property photographer frequently replaces or adjusts skies to enhance the scene’s mood, especially during sunset or late afternoon shoots.

AI can suggest color adjustments or create sky replacements, but you still need to manually blend and adjust for realism. It’s a tool, not a complete solution.

This task is mainly about Replace Sky or Match Evening Mood. Extending the canvas is for different needs, like adding space or framing, not changing the sky’s appearance.
