Open the scan in Photoshop, then use the Spot Healing Brush or Clone Stamp to remove any flaws. Adjust levels or contrast to match the original look.
A graphic designer often does this when they need to restore a scanned document fast for a client meeting.
You need this when a client sends a scanned document near the deadline, and it has imperfections or unreadable text. This helps the brochure look professional without re-scanning.
Use the Spot Healing Brush for small flaws, the Clone Stamp for precise areas, and adjust the brightness or contrast if needed. These tools are fast and effective for last-minute fixes.
Don’t over-edit or make the correction obvious; keep the scan looking natural. Overusing clone tools can create repeated patterns that look fake.
Graphic designers often do this when preparing quick visuals for presentations. Photo restorers focus on detailed cleanup, and photo editors might handle color or tone adjustments.
AI can automate some cleanup, like removing dust or correcting color. But for precise flaw removal or matching textures, manual work in Photoshop remains essential.
This task focuses on fixing flaws in scanned documents quickly, while tasks like softening skin tone or cleaning worn packaging involve more specific retouching for images or packaging design.
