Text Box

A Text Box allows you to add and format text anywhere on your PowerPoint slide.

    Open the slide where you want to add a text box.

    On the ribbon, select the Insert tab.

    In the Text group, click Text Box.

    Best practiceClicking anywhere on the slide after selecting 'Text Box' will create a default text box, or you can click and drag to define its size.

    On the slide, click and drag to draw the text box to your desired size and position.

    Click inside the text box and type or paste your text.

    To move the text box, select it and drag it when the pointer becomes a four-headed arrow.

    To format text, select the text within the box and choose options from the Font section on the Home tab.

    Right-click the text box border and select Format Shape to adjust margins or other text box properties.

To quickly access text box options, right-click the text box border and choose 'Format Shape' from the context menu.

While direct text box insertion via API is not a standard feature, text content and formatting can be manipulated programmatically within existing placeholders or shapes.
