Outline View

Outline View allows you to structure and organize your presentation's content by focusing on text.

    On the View tab, in the Presentation Views group, click Outline.

    Begin typing text to create new slides and content in the outline pane.

    Best practiceStart with a blank slide and add headings and subheadings to structure your presentation effectively.

    Click and drag the vertical bar between the main slide pane and the outline view to resize it.

    Click the > icon above Outline to expand the outline view for better visibility.

    To move a slide, click and drag its icon in the outline pane to a new position.

    To select all text in Outline View, click on one slide, then press Ctrl + A.

    To import an outline, select Home > New Slide, then choose Slides from Outline.

Outline View is ideal for planning your agenda and sequencing slides before focusing on visual design.

PowerPoint's Outline View functionality is primarily a user interface feature and is not directly exposed for automation via API.
