Templates

PowerPoint templates provide pre-designed slide layouts, themes, and formatting to ensure consistent presentations.

    Open PowerPoint and select File.

    Select New.

    Select Personal or Custom to see your personal templates.

    NoteFor web versions, select File > New > Browse templates.

    Double-click the template thumbnail image to create a new presentation.

    To create a new template, start with a blank presentation.

    Set the slide size by selecting Design > Slide Size.

    Select View > Slide Master to edit layouts and styles.

To apply a template to an existing presentation, open the presentation, go to File > Save As, and in the dialog box, change the Save as type to PowerPoint Template.

PowerPoint templates can be programmatically applied and managed using Office Add-ins or VBA, allowing for automated style compliance and distribution.
