Before I submit to the journal, make the manuscript reviewer-friendly: bring the practical takeaway to the top of the abstract, ensure tables are self-explanatory with clear legends, shorten dense paragraphs into readable sections, and list three likely reviewers and why they would be appropriate or opposed.

My co-author has asked to remove a dataset that supports our main conclusion because of uncertain consent. I believe the conclusion still stands but weaker.
