Chapter 6 — Adverbs
What is an adverb?
An adverb answers a question about an action, a quality or a whole sentence — how (slowly), when (soon), where (outside), how often (always), how much (very), how sure (probably) or how it connects (however). Find adverbs by the question they answer rather than by their -ly, choose the right form, put them in the right place, and use them to control emphasis and tone, for ages 5 to 19.
