Real questions

honest answers

You don’t need drama or fakery; you need structure. Selling is just: 1) talk to more of the right people, 2) make it very clear how you help, 3) follow up without pestering, 4) give them a simple next step. Scripts don’t make you fake; they stop you from freezing or rambling. Adjust the language to your style, but keep the backbone: clear offer, clear price, clear next action. If you truly believe your product is fair value, then not telling people properly is actually doing them, and you, a disservice.

Some customers will always buy only on price; keep them for volume items or let them go. The rest of the market compares price only because nobody has clearly explained value. When you standardise how you talk about quality, life of product, after-sales, convenience, and risk of going cheaper, a chunk of buyers will spend more with you. Also, many of these tasks are about repeat, referrals, and basket size — that’s where your profit hides in a price-sensitive market. You can’t escape 'sasta' talk, but you can decide where you bend and where you don’t.

You’re not supposed to do all of them. Pick 2-3 that hit your biggest leak: enquiries dying, no repeat, low average bill, or weak follow-up. Implement those properly for one month. Most of these are 'set once, use many times' — scripts, templates, checklists. That’s the point: spend one focused hour to get something you and your staff can reuse all year. If a task doesn’t clearly promise either more money, faster cash, or less headache for you, skip it. Start small, but start; chaos doesn’t fix itself.
