Sync audio and video clips

I have four camera files and two lav audio files from a three-person panel. Sync each camera to the lavs and to the slate where available, create multicam sequences for the two best angle combos, and label tracks with speaker names. Deliver synced sequences to the sound mixer by 10 a.m. Monday.

Before I send synced multicam sequences to post sound, surface the decisions I made: put the primary lav on track A1 and the room mic on A3, show the offset used if auto-sync failed, and list clips that required manual waveform nudges so the mixer knows where to double-check alignment.

Auto-sync matched most camera clips to the lavs, but two clips with loud room noise failed and now sit off by a frame or two. I told Michael in sound to expect this, but I'm unsure whether to nudge by ear or use visible slate marks and recreate sync points. Which method will be fastest and least likely to break continuity across cuts before I hand it to sound tomorrow?

On multicam projects we repeatedly lose a morning fixing sync: auto-sync trips on noisy takes, slates are inconsistent, and editors end up hand-nudging. Producers complain the schedule slips. Which habit change will cut the time lost: enforcing slate practice with camera teams, a pre-dailies audio check, or a standard sync workflow documented for assistants?
