Shuffle answer order

I need the quiz to randomize answer choices so students can't share patterns. Shuffle the answers for every multiple-choice and checkbox question in Ms. Alvarez's Period 3 lesson on photosynthesis before I publish it tomorrow at 8 a.m.

Before I send this quiz to Period 3, make it easy for students to take fairly: surface which questions will have their answer choices randomized, note any questions that become misleading when choices move, and flag questions where images or numbering make shuffle unsafe.

I published Ms. Alvarez’s photosynthesis quiz with randomized answers and a parent reports their child saw a different order than classmates, causing confusion. I’m worried some questions depend on left-to-right order (like A–D references in the question text) and I can’t review every item before class. What likely went wrong and what’s the fastest, lowest-risk fix before 8 a.m.?

Across several classes I repeatedly find questions that break when I shuffle answers because the stem refers to choice positions or image order. Where am I losing time and credibility, and what single habit change will prevent this mix-up going forward?
