Create and manage named ranges

I need the named ranges in the budget workbook fixed before the board meeting. Create a named range for Revenue_Q1 on the sheet named Financials covering B2:B13, a named range for Expense_Ops covering D2:D50, and a named range for Headcount covering F2:F12. Then verify each range points to the intended cells and update any formulas that referenced old ranges so totals still work. Do this today and tell me what changed.

Before I hand this workbook to the growth team, make the named ranges obvious and safe. Surface any duplicate or overlapping ranges, rename anything cryptic into plain terms (for example Revenue_Q1 instead of Sheet1!B2:B13), and add a hidden sheet listing each range, its sheet, and its cell bounds. Flag formulas that use hard-coded addresses that should instead reference a named range.

Every quarter I lose time because named ranges break when analysts insert or delete rows and formulas stop pulling the right cells. I control the template and the analysts feed data into it. Which habits or small policy changes will stop this—how should I set up ranges, educate the team, and version the template to avoid repeated firefights?
