Create templates for reuse

Create reusable templates for weekly status reports the product managers use. Copy the 'Weekly Report' sheet, lock the header row, include sections for Objectives, Blockers, Metrics, and Next Steps, and save it in the Templates folder so new PMs can duplicate it. Ensure the date cell autofills the current Monday.

Before I roll this out to all product managers, make the template easy to adopt: put the most critical metrics at the top, add brief cell guidance for what to write in Blockers and Next Steps, include a version history cell with the template author's name and last edit date, and create a 'Create new report' button or clear instruction so duplication is consistent.

I built a Weekly Report template and saved it in Templates, but new PMs keep making their own layouts. I don't know whether the problem is discoverability, inertia, or missing fields. Should I add a one‑click duplicate link, change the file name to be more obvious, or enforce it via a shared folder policy? Which of those will get adoption fastest without manager policing?

We waste hours with each PM reinventing the weekly report layout, so consistency and aggregation suffer. What habit and structural changes stop that: a single canonical template with enforced duplication, a short onboarding step requiring new hires to create their first report from it, or a light automation that generates reports every Monday? Recommend one reliable pattern and the simplest enforcement to make it stick.
