Create campaign and add campaign members

Create campaign and add campaign members in Salesforce — with the four heights of help laid out: do it now, make it easier for the next person to accept, work out the right move when you are stuck, and learn the pattern so it stops coming back.

The four heights

The same task, four distances: today's deadline, the next reviewer, the stuck moment, the pattern.

Execute — do the immediate task

I need a new campaign for the Q4 product webinar aimed at mid-market renewals. Create the campaign named Q4 Mid-Market Webinar 2026 with start October 3 and end November 14, status Planned, type Webinar, expected revenue 120000. Add the 342 leads and contacts in the file I just uploaded as campaign members with status Invited. Before you finish, confirm there are no duplicate members and that the campaign member statuses align with our existing reporting picklist.

Improve — make it easier to accept

Before we run this webinar campaign past procurement and the revenue ops review, make it easy for the reviewer to approve. Put the net new target and expected revenue up top, highlight which members are new versus re-engaged, flag any members marked Do Not Contact, and call out the top three assumptions that would make a PM hesitate to allocate budget.

Decide — diagnose the stuck moment

I created the campaign but see missing members and weird statuses

I just created Q4 Mid-Market Webinar 2026 and uploaded the member list, but when I opened the campaign only 298 of 342 uploaded people appear and some show status Registered instead of Invited. I checked the CSV and the statuses looked correct. I’m worried duplicates or sharing rules hid records and I can’t tell which step broke. What likely caused the missing 44 and wrong statuses, and what is the fastest safe fix so the event invite goes out on Tuesday?

Become — change the pattern

We keep rebuilding similar event campaigns from scratch

Over the last six months I’ve rebuilt five webinar campaigns, re-uploaded member lists, and manually corrected campaign member statuses each time. It costs me a day per campaign and creates monthly reporting drift. What habit or small process should I change so I stop rebuilding, keep clean membership, and trust the campaign influence numbers?

Other CRM work people do in Salesforce.

Every task here came from the work, not from a feature list — which is why the prompts name what you want done and never the button that does it. The tool changes; the work does not.
