Back up store data

Create a full backup of the store database, product images, theme files, and orders through last night. Export CSVs of customers, orders, and product catalog, and save the theme ZIP and media archive to the company S3 bucket with a timestamped folder. Verify the integrity of each file and email me the links so I can hand them to our accountant by noon tomorrow.

Before I hand this to IT, make the backup package easy to verify. Show the file sizes and record counts for customers, orders, and products up front, surface any missing media files, and list any apps whose data are not included in the export. Flag what still needs manual export so the reviewer can give a fast OK.

I tried to restore product variants after a supplier error and the import stopped halfway; now some SKUs are duplicated and I’m not sure the backup contains the pre-error state. I don’t know which backup timestamp to trust. What are the likely indicators of a clean backup, how do I identify the last good snapshot quickly, and what is the safest way to roll back or reconstruct missing SKUs without creating more duplicates?
