You can use multiple annotation types in one session, such as highlighting text and adding sticky notes for detailed feedback.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
Sticky notes are small, movable icons that open a pop-up window for your text. They are good for short, quick notes. Text boxes are fixed areas where you can type longer text directly on the page. They are useful for more detailed explanations that need to be visible right away.
You should sanitize a PDF to protect private information. Comments and markups are often sensitive review notes that you don't want to share publicly. Sanitizing removes all hidden data, including comments, so that only the final, clean document is sent. This prevents accidental leaks of internal feedback or personal data.
When many people review a document, Acrobat's comment tools help organize feedback. Each person's comments are linked to their name. You can see all comments listed in a panel, often sorted by author, page, or type. This makes it easy to track who said what and respond to specific points, helping to manage a complex review process effectively.
