| Feature | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Sticky Note | A small icon that opens a pop-up window for short comments. It's good for quick thoughts that don't need to be visible all the time. |
| Text Box | A visible box on the page where you can type longer text directly. It's useful when you want your comment to be clearly seen on the document itself. |
Comments and annotations are saved as a separate layer on top of your document. If you share the file without flattening or sanitizing it, others can still see all your review notes, even if they appear hidden. This is important for privacy and to prevent sharing internal feedback by mistake. Flattening makes the comments part of the document content, while sanitizing removes all hidden data, including comments, ensuring only the final content is visible.
To suggest deleting a sentence, you should use the 'strikethrough' tool. This tool draws a line through the text, clearly showing that it should be removed. You can also add a sticky note next to it to explain why you think it should be deleted.
Reaction emojis are small graphical icons, like a thumbs-up or a smiley face, that you can add to existing comments in a shared review. They help you quickly show your agreement, disagreement, or other feelings about a comment without typing a new message. This makes the review process faster and more interactive, especially when many people are giving feedback.
