Open Adobe Acrobat and sign in to your account.
Select Home from the left navigation pane.
Under Agreements, click Adobe Acrobat Sign.
Locate the agreement you want to track in the list of documents.
Select the checkbox next to the agreement you want to monitor.
View the right pane for real-time status updates, including which recipients have signed and which are pending.
NoteYou can also see a complete history of actions taken on the agreement.
Best practiceIf you frequently send agreements to multiple recipients, use the status column to quickly scan which documents are awaiting signatures versus completed. This is especially helpful for high-volume workflows.

| Signing Order Type | How it Works | When to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Sequential | Signers get the document one after another, in a specific order (A then B then C). | For approvals where one person must sign before the next, like a manager then a director. |
| Parallel | All signers get the document at the same time. They can sign in any order. | When the order of signatures does not matter, and you want to get all signatures quickly. |
If you forget to add a signature field, the recipient cannot sign the document. This is a common mistake. Always double-check that every document attached has all the necessary signature fields before you send it. You will need to correct the document and send it again.
The Acrobat Sign API is a way for computer programs to talk to Acrobat Sign. You would use it to automate tasks, like sending many agreements for signature or getting the status of agreements, without manually clicking in the Acrobat app. This is useful for businesses that need to handle a large number of agreements automatically within their own systems.
