This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
When you send one document to many signers, they all sign the same document. With 'Send in Bulk', Acrobat creates a unique copy for each signer. This means each signer gets their own private document to sign, and their signatures are recorded separately. This is useful when signers should not see each other's information or signatures.
Each document sent using 'Send in Bulk' is an independent 'child agreement'. This means it has its own unique audit trail and is treated as a separate legal document. Because Acrobat creates and manages each of these individual agreements, they each count against your transaction limits. This ensures proper tracking and legal validity for every signature.
A parent template is the original document you prepare for 'Send in Bulk'. It's the master copy that Acrobat uses to create many individual 'child agreements'. You design this one template, and then Acrobat uses it to generate up to 1,000 unique documents for all your signers.
Yes, 'Send in Bulk' is perfect for this situation. It can generate up to 1,000 independent child agreements from one parent template. You would prepare your new employee contract as the parent template, then use a CSV file to add all 500 employee names and emails. Each employee will receive their own contract to sign, and you'll get a separate audit trail for each one.
