I must send identical consent forms to 120 research participants by Monday. Use the approved parent template, populate…
Sign in to Adobe Acrobat on the web and go to the home page.
Hover over the E-Sign section and select Send in bulk.
In the Send as Bulk window, select Choose files and upload the agreement template you want to use as the parent.
Enter an agreement name and customize the message to recipients as needed.
Select Add Recipients and enter the names and email addresses for all recipients, or upload a CSV file with recipient details if you have many.
Best practiceUploading a properly formatted CSV file can save time and reduce errors when sending to large recipient lists.
Review the agreement settings and make any necessary adjustments, such as authentication or reminders.
Click Send to initiate the bulk send; Acrobat will generate individual child agreements for each recipient, all tracked under the parent template.
NoteEach recipient receives a unique, trackable copy of the agreement to sign independently.
You can track the status of each child agreement and the overall parent transaction in the Bulk sends section under Documents.
This runs in the Acrobat app - there is no separate API for this task.
A parent template is a main document used to create many copies for different signers. It is important because it saves time and keeps every agreement the same, but each signer gets their own separate document to sign.
| Send in bulk | Single agreement to multiple signers |
|---|---|
| Each signer gets their own copy | All signers work on the same document |
| Signers do not see each other | Signers may see each other's info |
| Each counts as a separate agreement | Only one agreement is created |
Each document sent with Send in bulk is treated as its own agreement so that every signer gets a private copy and audit trail. This keeps information safe and makes tracking easier, but it also means every copy uses up your allowed number of agreements.
