I need the team to close the month cleanly. Send the spreadsheet I prepared to Hannah in accounting and Marco, the audit manager, for their sign-off, both to approve it by Friday; before sending, check that all journal entries for the 27th are posted, the payroll accrual is included, and the variance tab reconciles to the general ledger.

Before I share this month-end workbook with the directors, make the approval path obvious: put a one-row summary of net change, unposted items, and key risks at the top; flag any balances over fifty thousand that lack supporting attachments; and mark any transactions dated after the 25th that need audit review so Hannah can approve quickly.

We just got the workbook back from Hannah with a single comment: ‘material difference on cash.’ I own the file; she’s the accounting manager and needs a clean close by Friday. I don’t know which sheet she checked or whether she re-ran any pivots.
